Isle of Wight help app
This app I made was a student focused mobile app concept made to try to help newer university students manage their daily life. With things like organising schedules and building social connections more easily. The project explored how UX/UI design can be used to simplify common challenges faced during the transition into higher education. Specifically for students isolated and out of the loop due to life being sheltered on the island as I found out the hard way.
The app combines some features such as a personalised calendars, task management, messaging and university information within a simple and accessible interface. A soft blue colour palette seemed appropriate as it fits the islands theme, rounded UI components and minimal layouts are what I used to create a welcoming and a more easy to navigate experience aimed at reducing stress and improving organisation.
This project focused on user centred design and accessibility, demonstrating the use of digital design to support student wellbeing, communication and everyday productivity.
